Gun violence is a preventable public health issue. From shootings by and against police officers to mass casualties at schools, churches and community venues, it is rampant around the world. Unfortunately, gun violence is often symbolic of underlying social inequity, racial inequality and hate.

As a community of healers, public health advocates and educators with a compelling reputation for collaboration, outreach and realizing change, OHSU and PSU are committed to reducing gun violence and seek to establish a venue that encourages greater collaboration between community members, organizations and their institutions.
