Oregon Health & Science University will reestablish low-barrier, drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Portland Expo Center beginning Tuesday, Feb. 23. (OHSU)

Update: On Jan. 14, 2022, OHSU turned over management of the Expo Center site to the Oregon Health Authority. Learn more about testing.

Oregon Health & Science University will reestablish COVID-19 testing at the Portland Expo Center.

The site had moved to an indoor parking structure at the Oregon Convention Center to provide a drive-through testing opportunity during rainy and cold weather. However, that site was suspended in January to accommodate a community mass vaccination site jointly operated by OHSU, Legacy Health, Kaiser Permanente and Providence.

OHSU has a low-barrier drive-through testing site in the Expo Center parking lot:

The first two hours are reserved for patients of OHSU Health, including Hillsboro Medical Center and Portland Adventist Health, household members of OHSU employees and first responders.

The site was one of two low-barrier COVID-19 community testing locations operated by OHSU Health, with the other operating during the same hours in a parking lot near Hillsboro Stadium, 4450 N.E. Century Blvd. [As of March 29, OHSU converted its other low-barrier testing site at Hillsboro to a COVID-19 community vaccination site.] The Hillsboro site now provides COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment for eligible groups, in addition to community vaccination sites at the convention center and in the Red Economy Parking Lot at Portland International Airport.

The Expo Center site is not currently providing COVID-19 vaccinations, but may do so in the coming months as the availability of vaccine increases in Oregon.
